As of January 1, 2005, LATIE will be offering  external validation and moderating of TESOL, TEFL, and TESL courses worldwide.

All LATIE accredited members are entitled to  this service.

LATIE is currently in cooperation with members worldwide establishing guidelines for course providers as to what entails an internationally accepted level of TESOL training.

Standards are being established for 3 separate categories of programs, 100
hour programs, 300 hour programs, and programs greater than 300 hours.

Programs may be offered by private schools, public organizations, or institutions of higher learning (universities, colleges).
