TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTE
MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
Training institutes may apply under 2 levels:
ACCREDITED MEMBERS
Accredited teacher training institutes must meet the following criteria:
- Be established a minimum of 6 months upon application.
- Offer English programs exclusively or in conjunction with other educational subjects as directed by their local Ministry or Department of Education.
- Offer an internationally accepted standard in Teacher Training.
- Offer a safe and secure environment for both students and teachers.
- Operate under a high level of business and educational principals.
- Must offer their programs to be evaluated by the LATIE evaluation committee.
- Must maintain a clean record in responding to all complaints or inquiries from the Better Business Forum.
- Must participate in the external program validation of LATIE upon initiation of this program.
SERVICES OFFERED
Accredited teacher training institutes benefit from LATIE membership in several ways:
- Receipt of the Certificate of Accreditation of the Teacher Training Programs The receipt of the Certificate in Good Standing for maintaining principals and operating practices The right to use the LATIE logo on certificates and promotional materials The right to award 40 LATIE teacher licenses per year free of charge The right to hold a seat on the LATIE Board of Govenors and participate in LATIE Committees.
- Full membership in the Better Business Forum.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Associate teacher training institutes must meet the following criteria:
- Be established a minimum of 6 months upon application
- Offer English programs exclusively or in conjunction with other educational subjects as directed by their local Ministry or Department of Education.
- Offer an internationally accepted standard in Teacher Training.
- Offer a safe and secure environment for both students and teachers.
- Operate under a high level of business and educational principals.
- Must maintain a clean record in responding to all complaints or inquiries from the Better Business Forum.
- May at any time during their membership upgrade their membership to the Accredited level by complying with all requirements of accredited membership.

Associate teacher training institutes benefit from LATIE membership in several ways:
- Receipt of the Certificate of MEMBERSHIP of the Teacher Training Program.The receipt of the Certificate in Good Standing for maintaining principals and operating practicesThe right to use the LATIE logo on certificates and promotional materialsThe right to award 20 LATIE teacher licenses per year free of charge.The right to participate in LATIE Committees.
- Full membership in the Better Business Forum.
